The Gladstone Institutes hosted its annual retreat at the Asilomar State Park Ground on the Monterey peninsula, May 10–12, 2017. The goal of the retreat is to bring together the 300 Gladstone scientists to share their research, gain valuable feedback, build new collaborations, and expand professional networks within Gladstone.  Several McDevitt lab members were highlighted at the retreat for their various accomplishments. Tracy Hookway, PhD, received the top poster award, out of more than 70 scientific posters. Jessie Butts earned the Gladstone Institute for Cardiovascular Disease (GICD) Graduate Student Award of Excellence in Science, and Oriane Matthys and Jessie were honored with the GICD Award of Excellence in Leadership for establishing Gladstone’s new graduate student organization called Gladstone GO.
